Lo
Dei Fong is a typical Cha Chaan Teng
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cha_chaan_teng (a derivative of restaurant
to represent Hong Kong food culture), which serves both western and
Chinese foods. If do not want to try expensive foods, find-dine, fast
foods and have a budget to spend in dinner in Central, Lo Dei Fong
should be your choice and is really a good place to have dinner in a
leisure and not noisy environment. There are a lot of choices and the
price is reasonable. At night, there are not many customers; it is only
about 50% full. The waitress would not take away everything to notify
you to leave.
We order “Hainanese Chicken Rice 海南雞飯 $35”and
“Steamed fish with preserved vegetable 梅菜蒸魚 $38”. The bill is $73. This
is a very cheap price in Central district. To be a place to fulfill the
basic need, we cannot expect too much for the food quality in such a
price.
