Chicken Rice Set $48. All are above average, except the vegetable which
is too oily. The soup has taste of chicken and Tangkwei (Dong Quai 當歸),
this should be the soup taste in Singapore. Overall performance is not
value for money. It is suggested to order rice and chicken meat
separately at $38, instead of ordering the set.
Sam Chun
Hainanese Chicken is chilled. It is boneless. Meat texture is still
good. Taste would be enhanced if it is eaten with 3 sauces included.
Rice is the best item in the set. Each piece of rice is in the best condition and has good chicken soup flavour.

started on 31 March 2006. Marketing positioning is medium to high end.
It is a bit different from other food courts in Hong Kong, in terms of
large area, 21 selected food shops, good and comfortable layout.
To
dine in Sam Chun, it is of course to order a Hainanese Chicken Rice set
$48. The foods are nicely placed on plates in a tray. The set includes a
bowl of rice, a plate of chicken (without bone), a plate of green
vegetable and 3 small dishes of sauce (black soya sauce, chili sauce and
ginger sauce).
The soup has taste of chicken and Tangkwei (Dong
Quai 當歸), this should be the taste of soup in Singapore. The rice has
the flavour of chicken soup, this should be as good as the rice in Good
Satay

Each piece of rice is in very good condition. There are about 7 pieces
of chicken meat. The chicken is chilled, meat quality is still better
than those frozen chicken meat. I have already informed the waitress not
to add oil to the vegetable, but it is still oily. The vegetable is
also not young enough.
Overall performance is above average. It
is still worthwhile to try Hainanese Chicken Rice in Sam Chun, but it is
a bit not value for money, in view of the set price $48. It is
suggested not to order chicken rice set, but order Chicken rice and
Chicken meat separately. The total price would be lowered ($38). It is
not a big deal if the meal has no soup and vegetable in Sam Chun. In
comparison, the Hainanese Chicken Rice in Sam Chun is not so delicious
as that in Good Satay - Tsim Sha Tsui East.
