Bacon and Chicken
Steak in Pepper Sauce $58. If we do not have confident in the food of a
restaurant, it is better to order chicken steak. The chicken steak this
time is very good in taste. It is pan-fried, but not deep-fried in oil
as in other restaurants, resulting that the chicken steak is still
tender, but the surface on both sides is a bit crispy. Together with the
pepper sauce, it becomes a dish with applause (4/5).
It takes
about 15 minutes before “German Pork Knuckle $78” is served to us. We
order steamed knuckle instead of deep-fried one, mainly because
deep-fried food is not too good to health. We understand steamed knuckle
should not be so delicious as deep-fried one. Out of our expectation,
apart from the taste of salt, taste of pork is still available. When we
ask the waitress (of about 40 yo) the reason why the whole knuckle is
not greasy, she replies the knuckle is not greasy and it is from
Germany. What a ridiculous answer.
Santgria Kitchen is a small restaurant only. Please do not expect too comfortable environment.

We
nearly forget this restaurant in Jordan. It was a small restaurant for
beer and steak. It is not a Cha Chaan Teng, but a local style restaurant
of western foods. At dinnertime, the restaurant is not crowded and it
is about 65% full.
We order 2 dinner sets, “Bacon and Chicken
Steak in Pepper Sauce $58”, “German Pork Knuckle $78”. The bill is $151
(average per head $76). The set includes soup, salad and set drink.
Luckily,
in my mind, the food standard of Santgria can still be maintained. The
food standard is as good as that in Pizza Bar Pub & Restaurant in
Wanchai. Price is reasonable. The only complaint
is that the
restaurant is small and comfortable environment should not be expected
and should be taken into account before you dine.
