Deep
Fried Shrimp Toast $98 is deserved to be a signature dish in Fung
Shing. We appreciate that the shrimps are fresh and the meat is bouncy,
but surely not frozen one. If the bread absorbs less oil, it is more
value for money. It is a special dish in Shunde cuisine.
Roasted
Chicken (Half) $90. Originally we have no plan to order this chicken.
When we see the same item (of alluring and delicious look) in the table
next to us, we change our mind and order it. Chicken is fresh, meat is tender and skin is crispy.
Sauteed Black Fungus and Bitter Gourd $68 is suggested by a waitress. It is really a good suggestion.
Braised Pork with Preserved Cabbage is the item we have not tried for a
long time. Out of our expectation, this dish is not oily and is as
delicious as the one in Megan's Kitchen 美味廚. The preserved cabbage is
not too salty as well.

select a restaurant convenient to all, possibly it should be at Prince
Edward. In the midst of hesitating where to dine, we pass by Fung Shing
(FS), which is always a restaurant we want to re-try, we decide to try again tonight. FS has been established since 1954, and therefore it has more than 50 years history in Hong Kong.
There are many signature dishes in FS, sometimes, it is not easy to
decide what to order. When we are going to place order, we see a dish of
roasted chicken of
alluring brown red skin color in the table next to us, we of course
lose control and immediately change to order the same roasted chicken.
We also order 3 other dishes, the bill is $424 (average per head $106).
FS
is an old-fashioned restaurant, we do not think that very hospitable
service will be provided. However, It can still maintain its food
quality at a high standard. We really have no complaint of all foods. At
nighttime, the restaurant is not crowded. We have made no booking, there are still several tables for
us to choose. Sincerely hope that FS can continue to serve traditional
Shunde cuisines to us. What it needs to do is to maintain everything it
has at the moment.
