Chilled Abalone served w/ Wasabi $128 is the best item in the meal.
Abalone is fresh and chewy. Each piece is cut into 2 halves. You
must try in your next visit. The special soy sauce with wasabi can
enhance the taste very much.
Fried Chicken on Goose Liver $90 is one of the signature dishes in Fu
Kei. It is a good combination of chicken, goose liver and bread, but
they do not match perfectly.
Baked Oyster w/ Port Wine $22/piece. Each oyster is very big in size.
The oyster surface is a bit crispy. The sauce enhances the overall
quality.
Baked Eggplant w/ Minced Pork in Portuguese Sauce $68. Appearance is
attractive, but we are a bit disappointed. It is of average quality
only.
Braised Fish Maw & Eggplant w/ Spicy Sauce $78. This dish is
difficult to cook with good taste. Fish maw should be fresh; otherwise,
there will be a flavor of fishiness. Out of expectation, this is
accepted and praised by us.
Marinated Duck Tongue w/ Shredded Jelly Fish $55. Such dish is always very good and of high quality in Fu Kei.
Diced Fillet Steak with Mushrooms and Shrimp Eggs $68. Taste is good,
but fillet steak is not too tender. The quality of fillet steak should
not be high.
Oven Baked Vegetarian Fried Rice w/ Portuguese Sauce in Whole Papaya
$58. Concept and appearance are good. Size is very small and taste is
general only.

Average spending: $150
Date: June 2007
Remarks: Booking is a must.
Further
to last visit, we would like to try more dishes. We order 8 dishes and a
green vegetable. The bill is $875 (Average spending $150). We are still
quite satisfied with food quality, which is generally higher than that
in other restaurants .
Every several months, there must be some new dishes. This is why
booking is a must in Fu Kei. If its service can be improved, it would be
fantastic. But we do not have much expectation. Anyway, Fu Kei is still
our choice for dining in Mongkok.
