Signature
Cha Siu (BBQ Pork) $88 is good, but not so good as praised by the
media. It is also at signature item price. In comparison with signature
items in other restaurants, it still has a distance from French Bread
Crab in Golden Pond , and Signature Roasted Chicken in Wing Hing Restaurant.
Sautéed Prawns with Cashew Nuts and Chili $118 is not low in price,
but the prawns should have been prepared with soda powder. For the same
dish, it is better to try in Jade Garden / Star House / Tsimshatsui at
$160 for 3 pieces only.
Fried String Bean $68 is an above average dish, out of expectation.
Bean Curd with Mushroom and Scallop $98 is a bit salty and of course is good to eat with plain rice. It is anyway a tasty dish.
Mixed Vegetables with Dried Seafood $75 has no trace of MSG. It is really a test of cooking skill and material quality.
Pan-fried Beef Fillet $80. The beef fillet is tender and juicy, and is a tasty item.
Tender powder should have been added.

Villa (WV) is well-known for its Cha Siu / BBQ Pork (this is also the
main reason to choose West Villa this time) and is said to be the best
Chinese restaurant in Taikoo. We of course order its Cha Siu, together with 5 other dishes. The bill is $701 (average spending
$117). This price is lower than our expectation, as we have not ordered
those expensive dishes.
We are lucky that we have not been badly treated. It would take a long
time for us to dine in WV again. In Taikooshing, there are still a lot
to be explored. For Guangdong foods, there are also much more to choose
from.
