Hing Kee has no good decoration, everything in the restaurant is a reflection that it is in the low-end.
Rice in Clay Pot @$18. No matter whether they are rice, meat (chicken
and sparerib) and soy sauce, they are not in the right track.
Fried Egg with Tomato and Pork $35 has just got a pass. Pork texture is not fresh enough.
Harbin Beer is now commonly available in Hong Kong. Harbin and Sapporo are the beers I like most.

Temple Street is a place for foreigners to experience another side of
Hong Kong! Hing Kee is no long a provider of tasty 'Rice in Clay Pot'.
Hing
Kee (HK) was very famous for its “Rice in Clay Pot” for a long time.
Tonight in Jordan, we would like to try the rice in HK again. As usual,
the outlook of HK matched Temple Street very much, which was
known as the nightclub for the poor and general public in the past. HK
has no good decoration; everything in the restaurant is a reflection
that it is in the low-end. Even so, there are still a lot of diners
tonight and the restaurant is nearly full. There is quite a lot of young generation
diners. It is anyway a place for foreigners to experience an old Hong
Kong.
We
order 2 “rice in clay pot” and a dish. The bill is $86 (average
spending $43). It is a comparatively cheap dinner spending. But the food
quality in Hing Kee seems to have dropped a lot. Just from the rice
quality and taste, it is at most an average restaurant. You are not suggested to dine in HK, if there is still no improvement.
