French
Duck Breast (its color is a bit reddish pink) is served with duck liver,
pumpkin mash and veggies. A pity is that duck breast is a bit old and
overcooked. This is the only defect in the meal.
Portobello
Griglia $86 is char-grilled Italian Portobello topped with goats cheese,
spinach and tomato basil on a mixed of greens.
Pizza Salmon $108
is topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, red onions, smoked salmon and
shaved parmesan. The crust is thin but not dry, in fact, it does have a
nice flavor of tomato sauce.
Ravioli $98 is an Italian dumpling
stuffed with green bean mash. We select a creamy mushroom sauce (with
sliced mushrooms and black fungus) instead of tomato sauce. This proves
to be the right choice. The creamy mushroom sauce does have a
synergistic effect with Ravioli.
Pana Cotta $55 is an Italian
custard made by simmering together cream, milk and sugar, mixing with
gelatin. This is a Galliano (an Italian alcoholic drink) flavored cotta,
served with mixed berries. Sour berries and sweet cotta match
perfectly.
Chocolate Pudding $59 is a flourless chocolate pudding
served with vanilla ice cream. The pudding is quite large in size and
not too sweet. Together with the warm chocolate sauce, this dessert
becomes the last item in our dinner, which comes to a delectable and
complete ending.

Booking
is a must in dinnertime. In Cenacolo, no matter where your table
locates, your feeling would be more or less similar as it is a packed
restaurant, with tables of very short distance in between. Sometimes, it
is quite disgusting if the diners next to your table speak at high
volume and you can listen to their whole story.
We have plenty of
time today and therefore do not order dishes all at one time. Totally,
we only order 4 dishes, desserts and drinks; the bill is $760 (average
per head $190). Maybe, Cenacolo has been operated for about one year and
the kitchen can maintain its food at high quality now, its food taste
and quality are very much better than those in our first visit. Our
overall comment to all dishes is very heartening, except duck breast
(the meat is over-cooked and too old).
Waitresses are nice and familiar with most items in the menu. Cenacolo is a restaurant in our recommendation list.
