You
can find black mushroom, green bean, salted egg yolk and pork in this
Rice Dumpling. It is quite big in size and has been boiled in water for
several hours. All ingredients in the dumpling become soft and tasty.
Together with the soy sauce served, it becomes a tasty Chinese food with
Guangdong flavor.
Chicken Congee is one of the signature congees
in Nathan Congee & Noodle. Chicken meat is fresh and tender. When
the chicken oil is mixed with the congee, it becomes a wonderful food
tonight.
Congee w/ Cuttlefish, Sliced fish & Mixed Meat is
also good in quality, except that the cuttlefish is not fresh enough.
Normally, the congee is boiled with jelly fish, cuttlefish, fried pig
skin, celery and green onion. It is a famous congee from Guangzhou.
Fried Baguet has already been cut into small pieces.

Nathan Congee & Noodle (NCN) is not
always crowded, even in dinnertime tonight; it is only 50% full. We
select a bench table; order 2 bowls of congee and 2 snacks. The bill is
$87 (average per head $44).
Congee base is good as usual;
beancurd sheet has not been added to increase the congee base quality.
This is the most important point for a congee shop, in my mind. If
beancurd sheet is added to the congee, I do not like and do not believe
that its chef is of sophisticated cooking skill and it is not an
outstanding congee shop.
Congee size is comparatively smaller in
NCN. Since such smaller size is already enough to me, I do have no
complain. Service is normal, and I do not think that you would expect
very good service from congee shop with waiters of over 50 yo.
