Cha
Siu Rice in Bowl $22. Glossy cha siu is still in good quality and very
palatable. From the photo above, the best quality portion is allotted to
us. Rice quality is not so good as that of cha siu, in general. If the rice is in higher quality, Joy Hing can sell a bowl of rice with cha
siu at $30 or more. But this should not be the target segment of Joy
Hing. * FYI, meat tenderizer has been added to Cha Siu.
Rice Vermicelli w/ Roasted Pork in Soup $22. We understand that the
best quality portion of roasted pork would be sold separately at
higher price. The roasted skin in this bowl is still crispy; this is
what we have not expected.
Chicken
Feet in Abalone Sauce $12 (it would be $15 if you order this item only)
is an item highly recommended for your next try. We do not think that
it is cooked with abalone sauce. But we can find small slices of Chinese
ham that is an important member for the good taste. We appreciate Joy Hing,
even for a plate of chicken feet at $12, they still cook with heart.
FYI, chicken feet are good supply of collagen.
Beancurd Stick in Abalone Sauce $7 has the same taste with the above
chicken feet. Needless to say, this beancurd stick is also delicious.

Remarks: Joy Hing is always crowded in lunchtime and dinnertime. Spacious dining environment must not be expected.
Every
time we dine in Joy Hing, we normally order cha siu and chicken or
roasted pork. We should have missed the chance to try other items. This
is why we would like to have a change this time. Apart from ordering cha
siu and roasted pork, we also order chicken feet and beancurd stick. The bill is $63 (average per head $32).
Cha
siu and roasted pork are still in good and tasty condition. We are
impressed by the quality of the rest 2 dishes ordered this time.
Normally, we would not order today soup and we do not want to drink too
much msg. To conclude, Joy Hing is still a supplier of the best cha siu on Hong Kong Island .
Food price is reasonably low. No matter whether it is lunchtime or
dinnertime, you must have a palatable and value for money meal.
