'Wonton Noodle
w/ Shredded Pork in Special Sauce' $27. Noodle is al dente and has
attained the best available texture of wonton noodle. Shredded pork in
special sauce is tasty but not spicy enough. Chili sauce is needed.
'Noodle
w/ Shredded Pork in Special Sauce and Stewed Pig's Leg' is also priced
at $27. There is one piece of stewed pig's leg, it is rich in fermented
red beancurd flavor. The pig skin is tender and not too fat, it is a
rich supply of collagen.
'Congee w/ Fish Belly' is a tasty
selection. Congee base is good and it should have been boiled with heart
for several hours. The fish meat is very bouncy, it is surely fresh
fish and this is not expected beforehand (we are very lucky). But msg
should have been added as the congee is very tasty . I prefer congee of
natural taste, even though it has the taste of plain rice only.

We
dine in Good Hope (GH) again this afternoon. If not dining at night, it
is found that GH is not very crowded and the nervous atmosphere is not
available. Server manner seems much better. When there are not many
diners, we can sense the old interior decoration quietly. It is a bonus
when dining not in the peak hours.
We order 2 noodles and a
congee. We are delighted that the food stuffs are still maintained in
high quality, in terms of taste and freshness. Food standard is very
stable, as the servers and chefs should have been working in GH for many
years. We should thank them for their devotion and service. To be picky
in this meal, msg should have been added to congee and the special
sauce to noodle is not spicy enough. If time allows, it is suggested to
dine in non-peak hours.
