Golden Valley is a Chinese restaurant with traditional Chinese settings. Tables and chairs are made from wood of dark brown color. Paintings and drawings are hanging on the wall.
Wonton in Spicy Sauce is served in black vinegar. The spicy sauce is served separately.
Dan Dan Noodle is served in Sichuan style. It has added Sichuan herb and spice, resulting that the noodle has a Sichuan flavor. Dan Dan Noodle of such Sichuan flavor is not commonly available in Hong Kong. Noodle is al dente.
Soup of Pig Lung & Almond Sauce (杏汁豬肺湯) $50 is particularly in high quality and surely a must-try item. It is a bit different from that in Luk Yue Tea House, but they are both of outstanding quality. It has nice flavor of almond and no msg has been added.
Taro & Goose Web Wrapped in Beancurd Sheet
Baked BBQ Pork Pastry is one of the signature dishes in Golden Valley. It takes about 20 minutes to prepare and is very hot when served. Its appearance and taste are both very good.

Golden Valley (GV) is famous for its dim sum and food quality. GV is a Chinese restaurant with traditional Chinese settings. Tables and chairs are made from wood of dark brown color. Paintings and drawings are hanging on the wall. GV is not a restaurant with high ceilings, you have to prepare it would be a bit noisy if it is full.
We order 4 Guangdong dim sum, 2 Sichuan items and a soup. The bill is $380 (average per head $190). Undoubtedly, all items are prepared and cooked with heart, and they are all localized flavor in their respective provinces. Sichuan Dan Dan noodle does not have localized Hong Kong taste, mainly because GV has a chef from Sichuan . Soup of Pig lung & Almond Sauce (杏汁豬肺湯) is particularly in high quality and surely a must-try item. It is a bit different from that in Luk Yue Tea House, but they are both of outstanding quality. You are of course suggested to have a try in Golden Valley .
