Rice Claypots are served in generous portion.
In
our experience, rice and chicken here should have been cooked
separately. At the final stage, chicken stuffs have been fully cooked
and are put onto the rice. It is still very tasty but has not yet
attained the best possible taste. This cannot get the synergistic effect
of 1+ 1 = 3. If they are cooked together for a while at / before the
final stage, they must be much tastier. Chicken meat is anyway slender,
yummy and juicy, which is cooked with onion, green bell pepper and pig
liver. Rice on the other hand has been cooked with heart, each piece of
rice is chewy and in good quality. If chicken meat and rice can be
cooked together, outstanding overall quality is possible.
Minced Pork Claypot Rice is not served in an alluring outlook. Pork is anyway delicious, juicy and not tough.
We are not soft drink lovers. But sometimes, the whole meal would be enhanced with joy.
Man Kee Noodles Cha Chaan Teng is in fact occuping two shops, but we prefer to select a table alfresco at night.

Kee Noodles is only a restaurant with typical decoration of Cha Chaan
Teng, this does not mean that it would not cook its food with heart.
Late tonight, there are still continuous patrons. It should be a popular
Cha Chaan Teng to the dwellers in the vicinity. The temperature is
mild, we select a table alfresco.
We
order claypot rice and soft drinks. After about 10 minutes, two
claypots of rice are served with generous portion. Overall performance
is quite good. But if the chicken stuffs are cooked with rice together
for a longer time, it would be tastier and synergistic effect can be
achieved. We hope in our next visit, food quality (particularly claypot
rice) can be maintained or improved.
