Paris-brest
(a french dessert said to be created by a pasty chef in honor of a
bicycle between Paris and Brest) is the best item in the afternoon tea
(this does not imply others are not good in quality). But this is too
outstanding. It is split and filled with Parline cream and consists of a
baked almond-topped choux pastry ring.

Butter Raisin Scones are freshly baked.

English breakfast tea is served (in a large pocelain pot) with milk and sugar.

Ponte
16 is a new hotel in Macau and the name is very attractive. But from
its outlook, it seems to be a hotel of less than half year history only.
We do not know whether afternoon tea is available. But normally, it
should be offered in any hotel. Though it is claimed to be a 5 Star
hotel in its website, in my mind, it is only 4 Star only.
We
select Mistral Restaurant on the 6th floor and order an afternoon tea
set for two, the bill is $175. About 14 pieces of cake or sandwich are
served in the set. They are not those commonly available stuffs, but
should be specially prepared by the chef and are delicious. We order
English breakfast tea and Japanese Jasmine tea, they are served in a
large pot (with unlimited refill). It is a pleasurable experience to
have an afternoon in Macau.
