Maybe there will be four-dish rice and five-dish rice.
This power change in the catering industry is like a silent revolution, which has brought down those high-ranking catering groups in the past. Once upon a time, restaurants, fast food chains were the market leaders and reaped huge profits, and citizens could only swallow their anger and let the catering industry lead them. It's the same old routine over and over again, either “rent increase and price change” or “raw material price increase”, but the citizens end up paying more but getting less quantity and lower quality.
But nothing is absolute in this world, and a pandemic has rewritten all the rules. When citizens had to turn to two-dish rice, a once inconspicuous existence unexpectedly rose to become the market leader, making the high-end catering industry jealous. Those former catering tycoons probably never expected that the food empire they had worked so hard to build would be defeated by two dishes in a plastic lunch box. Sorry, but a box of two dishes is fast, cheap, and humane, so the market instantly turned to it.
However, just as the two-dish rice owner was counting his money, another storm had quietly arrived - the three-dish rice appeared. The price is only slightly more than a two-dish rice, with more choices and larger portions, which has directly triggered a new round of competition. Those two-dish restaurant owners who just thought they had established themselves are now facing new competitors. I'm afraid they are thinking in the dead of night: "No way? We just sat on the throne, why is there someone trying to snatch it away?" The catering groups are even more livid, gritting their teeth and racking their brains to think of how to counterattack.
This struggle has just begun. Perhaps there will be more four-dish rice and five-dish rice appearing one after another until the market finds a new balance. The former catering giant has now fallen from grace, and the former "low-end choice" has become a favorite of citizens. With this earth-shaking change, who could have predicted what would happen next?
