What are free radicals?
Free radicals are highly unstable molecules. SOD (superoxide dismutase) is an enzyme that exists in the human body and other organisms. Its function is to convert superoxide free radicals generated in cells into oxygen and hydroxyl radicals, thereby reducing oxidative damage to cells and protecting cells from oxidative stress. When excessive superoxide free radicals are produced during cell metabolism, they can cause damage to cells, lead to oxidative damage to cells, and even cause various diseases. The function of SOD is to convert superoxide free radicals into harmless substances, thereby protecting cells from damage.

For the skin, superoxide free radicals are a common source of oxidative stress, which can lead to skin aging, wrinkles, and the appearance of skin problems such as spots. SOD can help neutralize superoxide free radicals, thereby slowing down the aging process of the skin and protecting the health of the skin.

SOD also has the following functions:
1. Antioxidant: SOD is a powerful antioxidant that can remove free radicals in the body, reduce oxidative stress, slow down cell aging, and protect cells from damage.
2. Anti-inflammation: SOD can reduce inflammatory reactions and has a certain alleviation effect on skin problems caused by chronic inflammation, such as redness, swelling, itching, etc.
3. Repair skin damage: SOD helps promote the regeneration and repair of skin cells, accelerates the wound healing process, and restores the skin to a healthy state.
4. Protect the skin against external pressure: SOD can enhance the skin's resistance, resist the stress and environmental pollution in daily life, and reduce the damage caused to the skin by external factors.
