I remember that before Goteborg Restaurant closed, I tried my best to visit it once. Although it is not my favorite restaurant, because it is Hong Kong-style Western food and has a history of several decades, I have to visit it one more time in its last days.
I don't live in To Kwa Wan, but even though I know about his existence, I still come here for afternoon tea because of his old age.
Before it closed its business, I asked a waiter during the meal that he might be one of the owners. I asked him if it would be reopened in other places? He said with certainty that it would not happen anymore, which meant that they would not reopen in other forms after closing. When I heard him being so determined, I had no response. I just knew that since I was here, I would just enjoy these thirty minutes dining time.
In July 2024, they closed in March 2024, when I saw the news of their reopening, the rent should have been reduced. I am happy to know that they have reopened and the residents of To Kwa Wan can have some nostalgia again. There shouldn't be any major changes to their decoration.
