張雙奇，家住河南省洛陽市伊川縣。 1997年，當時50歲的他在洛陽打工，下班路上撿到了一名被遺棄的女嬰，並花錢給她照了小時候的一張照片。
張雙奇把孩子帶回農村老家，取名張白鴿。原本張雙奇的家庭就不富裕，只有三間瓦房，隨著小白鴿的到來，張雙奇的壓力就更大了。而且，張雙奇沒有結婚，更沒有帶過小孩。
為了撫養張白鴿，張雙奇撿廢品、挖藥材、放羊、到工地工作。
2021年，女兒張白鴿決定把所有工作暫停，帶著爸爸出去玩，來一場說走就走的旅行。
