#伊麵 的英文是Yi mein or Yi Mian。
The English name of E-fu noodle is Yi mein or Yi Mian. But we often see E-fu noodle. Why? What is the source?
Obviously, Yi mein or Yi Mian is the pinyin of 伊麵, the latter is the Mandarin pinyin, and the former is unknown.
How did E-fu Noodle appear? I read it online and found one that was interesting and believable.
In the Qing Dynasty, a famous official (Yi Bingshou), is also calligrapher and painter, entertained guests at home, and the chef prepared a noodle. The pinyin of 伊 was yi, which eventually evolved into E. 府 is Fu, which means home.
Therefore, the English word for 伊麵Yi Mian becomes E-fu noodle.
