Fingernails have straight lines, what does it mean?

This should be quite common, and many people think it is related to malnutrition. But this is actually a very normal physiological phenomenon. The claw mother (where the nail grows) itself is concave and convex, so the nail must have a few straight lines. As you get older, this bump becomes more pronounced, making the lines on your nails more visible, rather than what's wrong with your body.
