Recently, I met a new friend who reminded me of Ta.
Ta used to think that he was very good, and the others were inferior.
At a very late stage, after he met X, he realized that he is smart. Everyone can also be smart, maybe even smarter than him, but they just don't have his educational qualifications, and he only thinks he is smarter than others.
