In
view of the city outlook in Mandalay, it is not expected there is such a
lovely and cool restaurant. It serves European, Thai and Chinese
cuisines.
This should be one of the several best restaurants in Mandalay. The diners include tourists, foreigners and upper class Burmese.
'Pan-fried
Wonton' is in fact in a big portion, we originally expect there should
be about 10 pieces only. It is delicious, not oily and is quite similar
to those Chinese dumplings. This should be one of the signature dishes
in Cafe House, as it is nearly ordered by each table.
Fried Chicken w/ Mushroom.
Stif-fried Kale w/ Salted Fish
These fruits are served at free.
This bottle of water is not free.

Remarks:
1)
Café House is not recommended by the Lonely Planet. I am afraid the
Lonely Planet should have missed this wonderful restaurant in Mandalay.
2) It is the only restaurant with printed receipt in our visit to Myanmar.
We
originally would like to have dinner in a restaurant in Hotel Mandalay.
But we only notice there is one table with diners in the whole
restaurant, we immediately leave the hotel and hope to find another
restaurant to be the location of our dinner.
In
about two minutes’ walk, we notice there is a restaurant with nice
signage and outlook. There are quite a lot of diners inside, including
locals and westerners. We decide to dine here tonight. There are many
options in the menu, and there are also photos beside some dishes. We
order three dishes only, and assorted fruits are served to each table at
free. Dish quality is good and above average, the chefs should cook all
dishes with heart and patience. Particularly for the pan-fried
dumpling, it is nearly ordered by each table. For one table with three
young locals, they order drinks and only two sets of pan-fried dumpling.
Café House is a restaurant with our appreciation. We finally know that
the owner is in fact a Chinese from Yunnan China, but he was born in
Myanmar.
