Small unagi rice set うな重(イ) (grilled eel rice set, Yen 2,830 tax included) is served after 10 minutes. The whole box is covered by unagi fully soaked with sauce of alluring brownish orange color. Its presentation is impeccable and mouth-watering. The eel meat is of course palatable.
The unagi rice set serves with soup, pickles and fruit.
Eel meat is good in texture and is not too soft. This is the texture I expect and it is fresh enough.
Rice is hot when served and has soaked sufficient tasty soya sauce. Each piece of rice is in good shape, good condition and optimum softness. Even though I look at the photo now, it is still mouth-watering to me.
The Entrance is on B2F of Teikoku Theater Building (帝劇ビル).
Originally, I expect the fruit should be a plum. But later it turns out to be a lychee.

Remarks:
1) Kanda Kikukawa is a unagi (うなぎ, eel) specialty restaurant. Only unagi and related dishes are served.
2) It was established in 1947 and has its own fish farm in Aichi Prefecture (愛知県).
In a business trip to Tokyo, Kikukawa is selected to try its grilled eel rice. Shortly after lunchtime, there are not many diners in the restaurant. Interior decoration is the type of typical Japanese traditional restaurant, but there is no tatami seating.
For about 10 minutes after ordering, a small unagi rice set うな重(イ) (grilled eel rice set, Yen 2,830 tax included, ~HK$212, rate: 0.075) is served to me. It comes with soup, pickles, fruit and a unagi rice box. The whole box is covered by unagi fully soaked with sauce of brownish orange color. Unagi texture is not too soft, this is the texture I prefer and like most. This implies the unagi is fresh enough. Since the set is freshly prepared, the rice is very hot, in good shape and condition. I am delighted to have eaten a box of unagi in high quality. You are recommended to have a try, if you visit Tokyo next time.

Freshwater eels (unagi, うなぎ) and marine eels (Conger eel, anagi, anago) are commonly used in Japanese cuisine. Eel meat is rich in Vitamin A, B1, B2, D and E; protein and gelatin. Its gelatinousness prevents aging. It also expels harmful cholesterol from blood./Deli Prince Club
