Banaue, in the middle of Luzon Island, is widely known as the site of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Banaue Rice Terraces. Rice terraces are commonly referred to by Filipinos as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Banaue is the only place in the Philippines awarded the Gold Medal in Hillman Wonders of the World - Philippines Wonder Guide. Only 1% of the world's 100,000 travel attractions win gold, silver or bronze medal in Hillman Wonders of the World. In the Philippines, even Boracay and Intramuros can only get a Honorable Mention (a travel attraction can get neither gold, silver nor bronze medal).
It takes about 25 minutes by tricycle / jeepney from Banaue town center to Viewpoint Two. This is another perfect spot on top of a plateau for taking pictures of the rice terraces.
It is raining.
It becomes a bit sunny.
