Set A (Mary's Rice Peso 150) - chicken leg, pan-fried egg, assorted vegetables and noodle in soup.
Chicken leg is in good brown colored appearance. Assorted vegetables are in large portion.
Set B (Pension Rice Peso 180) - two pieces of chicken leg, no pan-fried egg, assorted vegetables, noodle in soup and one piece of banana.
Filipinos prefer meal with more vegetables, which have been stir-fried.
It is strange that a piece of banana is included in this set.
Chicken soup is served in big bowl, but it is a bit salty.

There are several pensions in Batad. We select to stay in Batad Pension. Apart from the so-called restaurant of Batad Pension and the respective restaurant in each pension, there is no other restaurant in Batad. Batad is basically a scenic spot and there are not too many visitors, running a restaurant is not possible or is like to commit suicide.
We are informed there will be no tasty foods in Batad. We also do not have any expectation in mind. We order two meal sets. Apart from the difference in names, about 70% of the items in the set are more or less similar. But we appreciate that vegetables occupy a large portion in the set. This should be one of the main reasons why there are not too many fat guys among the Filipinos. Overall performance and food taste are very average. In view of the depletion of resources in Batad, we have finished everything on the plates.
