

Spareribs
in Strawberry Sauce is ordered in every patron. But a pity is that size
and thickness of sparerib drop continuously. Spaghetti is al dente and fried with olive oil and garlic paste. We
like the simplest cooking method (it may not be simple in reality).
The
reason why we visit Kravin three times in seven months is that we are
afraid Kravin cannot break even, in view of pricing and food quality.
Though its boss does not mind too much, in view of doing business, it is
not possible to make loss
continuously. In this connection, it has to cut cost by serving food
materials at lower cost, like reducing the respective food portions. It
is anyway a restaurant we like, at least, it is devoted in food
preparation, instead of serving cooked food only.

Carbonara is the main course of a set meal. It is quite delicious but
can be done better. I prefer if the taste is a bit more concentrated.
There are many other pasta options in the menu.

This
set is priced at one hundred and fifty, but it is not too value for
money. Pork fillet and mussel are both of high quality, in the sense
that pork flavour is enticing and texture is good (not too soft and no
meat tenderizer has been sensed), mussel is fresh (we can still be able to savour the oceanic flavour and its texture is bouncy).

This whole bread is for two persons.


Tomato Soup is very concentrated in flavour and texture. There are granulated carrot pieces in the soup.

Coffee is recommended to order.

There
is a small piece of gold foil on the surface of this small chocolate
cake, chocolate mousse on the top, chocolate brownie at the bottom.

This is the third time for us to visit Kravin. There are two reasons. We
appreciate its food quality and pricing. We are afraid that it cannot break
even.
Kravin is a restaurant serving customers with heart. Maybe, there are
not too many customers during the whole day, chefs can have more time in
preparation and cooking. One thing we would like to draw your attention is that
even though food taste is still impressive, food portion is getting smaller. At
the moment, its food standard is still better than quite a lot of eateries,
including those in Quarry Bay and Central. You are suggested to visit before
its closure, if any.
