I always have a bad feeling in mind that eateries with history and quality would suddenly disappear in Hong Kong, because of the re-development project. It is needed to savor in those eateries, if time allows. Once they are not available, it is not possible to experience by whatever means.
For Yuen Kee Dessert, we always think of reason to divert our route, so as to try its dessert again. There is no change in all aspects in Yuen Kee, at least in these ten years, with the same signage, layout, setting, dessert quality and servers. When we pay visit to Yuen Kee, we do not have a question or worry of whether the dessert is not alright and whether we will be cheated. It is anyway a dessert shop in Sai Wan and in Hong Kong for more than one hundred years. In the very beginning, I guess it should have a history of sixty years. For a dessert shop of such long history and persistence, we should visit regularly, to pay respect and retrospect. Besides, Yuen Kee
has no other branch in Hong Kong. This is much appreciated.
