Kam Fung Congee is famous for its poor service (mainly the lady boss) and quality congee. It has four round tables only, serving about twenty persons at the same time. This means there is no need to stay in the shop after finishing the food. This is also one of the characteristics of eateries in Hong Kong.
We normally order congee (plain rice congee with ginkgo) and ricesheet roll. To me, for other congee types, too much msg should have been added. It violates the reasons of eating congee. We do not think that the service is too poor, it should be normal. But for some people, they expect VIP service, I guess this eatery should not be their cup of tea. We would patronize Kam Fung regularly, solely for its stable and high quality ginkgo plain rice congee.
