It is not a big sized restaurant, and has about 25 seats. Decoration
is just a typical Hong Kong “Cha Chan Tang茶餐廳” – styled, without special
lighting and comfortable seat. It is easily found in Wellington Street.
I
visit the restaurant at 8 o'clock at night. There are about 10
customers. From the menu, there are mutton, beef, chicken, beef brisket
& flank, seafood, and pork chop. I ordered Curry Pork Chop with rice
(HK $36),
light spicy. In fact, you may select light, medium or strong spicy,
and spaghetti, rice or naan. It takes more than 7 minutes before food is
ready. I query the reason why it takes such a long time to prepare . In my mind, all the foods should be fully prepared in advance.
Pork
chop is served in a big bowl, with more than enough curry sauce, 3
pieces of sliced and fried potato. Rice is in good taste and
reasonable softness, and in big portion. Curry sauce is creamy and
tasty. The potato is still in good
shape, this implies that it is not cooked with curry sauce for a long
time. Pock chop is still juicy and not too dry, and should have absorbed
sauce for a period before cooking, and should be cooked immediately
after receiving the order. After the meal, there is no thirty feeling. One point to mention is that
there is an Indian cook in the kitchen, he should mainly be responsible
for preparing Naan. Next time, I would try medium-spicy and seafood.
Overall feeling is good.
