We
know Lin Heung is an old restaurant (in fact, it has 80 years history),
and we have not yet dined here so far. We arrive Lin Heung at 1945 and
luckily a table is immediately allotted to us. This is really an
old-fashioned restaurant, in terms of decoration, furniture, waiter and
waitress, and everything. Chinese name of Lin Heung is printed on
tableware. It seems that we were in the 60s.
We order 2 dishes
only, including "Lin Heung Special Pork Rib" and "Chopped Eel with spicy
salt". "Special Pork Rib" is quite similar to those Pork Ribs in other
restaurants. The rib size is about 4 x 4 inches. The marinated rib is
finally cooked with plum sauce. "Eel with spicy salt" is of average
quality only. If it were deeply fried, the taste would be better. Eel is
fresh and the meat is still juicy.
Free dessert is available.
The bill is $122. It is not expensive. We cannot expect more. To dine in
such an old-fashioned restaurant is a good and exciting experience. No
need to wait at dinnertime is really a surprise to us.

P.S.
At the end of our dinner, we see a Mickey of about 6 inches (the body
only) near the ceiling. It is not rare case to see mouse in old
building. But this would affect our mood and possibly we will not dine
in Lin Heung again.
