On
Lee is a small restaurant and can serve not more than 20 persons at the
same time. There is a branch opposite to this main restaurant on the
same street.
Brisket of Beef has a strong delicious beef taste.
"Fish Slice and Wonton Noodle in bowl" - there is more than enough amount of MSG in wonton, which is exceptionally delicious.

It
is said On Lee Noodle is very famous in Shaukeiwan Main Street East .
Its signature dishes include "Fish slice", "Brisket of Beef", "Soy Sauce
Noodle in bowl". On Lee is always crowded with people. This would
greatly enhance the taste of its foods psychologically, as we have to
wait for a while before seats are available. We order "Brisket of Beef
Noodle in soup", "Fish Slice and Wonton Noodle in bowl" and a plate of
"Kale with oyster sauce". The bill is $52.
Brisket of Beef in
"Brisket of Beef Noodle in soup" has a strong delicious taste of beef.
It is sliced into pieces. Beef texture is good. But noodle is only in
small portion. For "Fish Slice and Wonton Noodle in bowl", wonton is
exceptionally delicious. There is high probability that MSG has been
added in large amount. Fish slice is not special. But the soy sauce
noodle is in large portion. One point to mention is that the soy sauce
noodle still has a slight taste of soda powder. Noodle texture is
alright.
In order to maintain the taste, On Lee should have added
more than enough amount of MSC and the foods are a bit salty. It is not
bad to try the noodle in On Lee infrequently. But it is not in the list
of my best noodle and wonton providers.
