Tea
buffet in Grand Hyatt Tiffin is famous. We are pleased to try in a
weekday afternoon. We are allotted a table near the window and with a
view of Central district. The impression to us is that Grand Hyatt is
getting old.
Before the start of tea buffet, we order Caribbean
sweet tea and Peach garden tea. They are priced at $50 if ordered
separately. Tea set and utensils are all elegant and in attractive
appearance.
The foods are displayed in various tables. There are
chocolate cube, chocolate ginger cake, chocolate mousse cake, chocolate
puff twist, salmon sandwich, hazelnut & raspberry cake, green tea
& red bean, cheese cake, assorted cheese slices, mango tart, ginger
bread, salads, waffle, ice-cream, muffin, and budding. Hot stuffs
include fish finger, fish burger, chicken wing, and fried noodle only.
There is no chocolate fountain, no fresh strawberry and no crepes.
Fruits include Hami melon, watermelon and pear.
To have afternoon
tea in Tiffin lounge is a good experience . Thanks for the sunshine,
the afternoon becomes more relaxing. It is advised to have light lunch
before this tea buffet. In view of the live jazz trio, environment and
delicious spread of savory and sweet items, Tiffin is still impeccable.
To me, it is a bit better than Cova Lee Garden.
