Fook Lee is an orderly restaurant. Its environment is comfortable, natural, and beautiful.
Crabs in "Congee with Crabs 蟹粥 $98" are alive 10 minutes before. Of
course, congee base cannot be compared with that in Sang Kee, Sheung
Wan. It is already a treasure in such remote environment.
One piece of Steamed Chicken 白切雞 $130
Appearance of "Fried Noodle in Soy Sauce 豉油皇炒麵 $38' is acceptable, but the taste is too sweet.
Boiled Flowering Cabbage 小油菜心 $30 is fresh and not oily.
After eating a plate of sliced oranges at free, these 2 pieces of
oranges are given to us as well. Bear in mind, there is 10% service
charge.

It
is an afternoon tea, which is only a by-product of our hiking. In the
countryside, we, 10 persons, order a big bowl of “Congee with Crabs
蟹粥$98”, one piece of “Steamed Chicken $130”, “ Fried Noodle in Soy Sauce $38”, “Boiled Flowering Cabbage $30” and “Boiled Lettuce $30”. The bill is $372 (average $38).
After
hiking for 2 hours, we are a bit hungry. Everything seems to be tasty.
Congee, chicken and vegetables disappeared immediately. It is because
the crabs are fresh, chicken has strong chicken flavor, vegetables are
natural and small amount of oil has been added.
But the noodle is quite sweet and strange in taste, it is the worst
one, therefore a portion is left over. At the end, the waitress also
accepts our request and gives us an extra bowl of plain congee at free.
Oranges are free as well.
Apart
from the above ordered items, cold drink, instant noodle, fried rice,
beef brisket, steamed fish, beer, coffee and tea are also served while
stocks last. The foods here are not too delicious or special, but in
such natural and beautiful environment, and after hiking for 2 hours, foods of average quality become delicious.
Natural scenery between Fook Lee (Sam A Tsuen) and Wu Kau Tang is the
main reason to have this introduction. The scenery is really very green
and picturesque. It is a gift in fact. The photos are attached at the
