Sour
& Spicy Soup (酸辣湯) is cooked after receiving our order, price is a
bit higher. We sense that the pig stomach is fresh enough and still very
bouncy. The portion is generous too.

Fried Shanghai Noodle (上海粗炒)

It looks a bit oily, but not too much oil is left on the plate.

Pork & Vegetable Wonton (菜肉雲吞)
There
are ten pieces and each piece is large enough. It is stuffed with
juicy minced pork and the texture is not too firm. It is a value for
money item.

Shanghai
Restaurant should have been operating in Tai Kok Tsui for many years,
this is evidenced by its layout and outlook. Totally there are three
servers, two ladies and the boss. Though it is an old eatery, I am
impressed by its hygiene, on the floor and the tableware. This is really
not expected.
We order a set for two, together with a bowl of
wonton. The price is very reasonable and value for money. It is not easy
to find similar eatery elsewhere with this food quality and price at
the same time. We also appreciate the food authenticity. There is no
fusion and modification in food taste, food materials and presentation.
It is a must to treasure the persistence and service of this Shanghai
Restaurant in Tai Kok Tsui, and give support in person for fear that it
will suddenly be engulfed by developers.
