This café from Okinawa, Japan has just been newly opened for less than two months in San Po Kong, offering the ‘OKI’ flavor to Hong Kong. The one in Mikiki is its first oversea branch and also its headquarter for Asia Pacific region.
It is designed in Japanese animation style in terms of decoration and setting. It fosters a young and cute style, its target customers should be the youngsters of around twenty years old. The café welcomes dine-in and take-away. It can entertain thirty diners at the same time, occupying one unit in the shopping mall.
There are three bantos to be chosen in lunch time, but for the deep-fried bread and drink, there are more options. We have to appreciate the café, in the sense that servers are amiable, food is freshly prepared. The fried bread is still hot enough and not oily. Other items in the banto are up to our expectation too. One point to be complained is that the rice is not good enough in texture and freshness. The rice may not be of Japanese origin. But for a banto at about seventy, overall performance is already not bad, it is definitely good. If you want to try Okinawa stuffs, you may have a try here.
