Deep Fried Mantis Shrimp in Salt & Spice ($28 / piece) should be a
promotion item. In view of its price and shrimp size, it is more than
value for money. Mantis Shrimp is fresh, and the flesh is of course
bouncy.
Deep
Fried Spareribs w/ Sweet & Salad Sauce is the signature dish.
Appearance is not too alluring. We are afraid it is not so good as
expected. The result turns out it is really good and deserves to be the
signature dish. Before you put the sparerib into the month, it should be dipped with the sweet sauce in the plate.
Baked Oyster w/ Port Wine, served in aluminum foil, is a bit crispy on
oyster surface. It is then baked with onion and spring onion. Totally
there are 4 pieces. Optimum amount of seasonings has been added. We like
it.
Vegetable in Soup is cooked as what we instruct – less oil.

Shan Seafood Restaurant (KS) is heard to be famous for its delicious
foods in Jordan . We are lucky to have a chance to try tonight. KS gives
me an impression of a local style restaurant (strictly speaking, there
is only minimum decoration) . At the time we visit, a boss of KS is talking with the Japanese
diners in fluent Japanese. We deduce that KS should have good reputation
in the Japanese circle.
We
wait for above 10 minutes and are allotted to a table. We order 4
dishes, the bill is $276 (average per head $140). Free dessert (in good
quality as well) is served. Though the waiters are guys of over 50s, they are professional and have very good manner. This is a point we
are impressed very much. Service is quite different from other
restaurants with old-guy waiters, like Peking Restaurant in Jordan.
