Yellow
Ginger Rice with Meats and Vegetables $58 is a signature dish. Apart
from the spicy ginger flavor, the rice is still very hot. It also comes
with chicken, egg, peanut, beefcake, Indonesian tofu, fried beans, and
Padang beef. They are all tasty and we can try all Indonesian stuffs in one time.
For the beefcake, it is potato mash mixed with small amount of beef,
and then deep fried in oil. It is a very delectable one. You may order a
plate of beefcake separately.
Fried Beans $38 is a bit spicy and rich in Indonesian sauce.
L:
Chicken & R: Pork Satay Skewers (6 pieces) $43. Both chicken
and pork skewers are of similar appearance. They are already very tasty
and strong in seasonings. The meats are tender and juicy. Together with
the satay sauce served separately , these skewers are one of the best we ever try.
Thousand-layers
Cake and Glutinous Rice Dumpling are the only desserts available
tonight and they are not in the menu. Both items are rich in coconut
juice flavor. Inside the rice dumpling, there are traces of shredded
chicken meat. We can only say they are special to us, very tasty and are representatives of Indonesian
desserts. Our dinner comes to a complete end, with these desserts.

Bali
Restaurant is a restaurant of very long history in Jordan . Tonight we
deliberately want to try Indonesian food. Bali is quite a "large"
restaurant in Kong Kong. Interior decoration should have not been
renovated for at least 10 years. We may say its decoration
is very classical and original, it is quite different from those
decoration in Hong Kong style restaurants. In dinnertime, there are not
many dinners tonight. We can select whichever bench table we like. Our
"first" impression to Bali is that it should be
a restaurant of more than 50 years history. In fact, I have no
information whether it is correct. Waiters should be the bosses and they
are uncle-typed guys of more than 55 years old. They are attentive,
very nice and patient to introduce items in the menu.
We
do not order the dinner meal set for 2, as we must not be able to
finish them. We instead order fried rice, skewer, green vegetable and
desserts. The bill is $160 (average per head $80). Since we are not too hungry,
we still cannot finish what we have ordered. It is not because the
foods are not tasty, but because they are not in small portion, and we
do not want to eat too much. Overall speaking, food portion is quite
generous. In view of price, it is surely a value for money dinner.
Apart
from traditional Indonesian foods, there are some local Hong Kong
dishes to suit the "special" request of Hong Kong diners. Bali is only
one of the several traditional Indonesian restaurants still available in
Hong Kong . If you want to try traditional Indonesian cuisine, Bali is surely your choice.
