Petrus is a
renowned restaurant of French cuisine. In the very beginning, I have to
say 'sorry' for the photos of poor quality, as the environment is really
too dark and my DC is not professional enough. Some photos are of too
poor quality and would not be shown.
Appetizer (potato chip and mash) gives us refreshing feeling. The transparent potato chips has no taste but is crunchy.
Duck
Breast is quite juicy and the skin is a bit crispy. The brown-colored
ball on the left is a mixture of potato mash with duck liver.
Kirsch Ice Cream 櫻桃白蘭地雪糕 is also displayed in an attractive manner. As far as I remember, it costs $160.
This plate of cakes and chocolate is free.

Restaurant
Petrus is renowned as an outstanding restaurant of French cuisine. When
we arrive at the restaurant, we are welcomed by a foreigner waiter. The
restaurant decoration is surely gorgeous , a cozy ambiance is provided.
We are allotted to a window table; we can overlook the spectacular
Pearl of the Orient. Waiters (we can meet no waitress for the whole
night) are nice and professional , service is fine and not intrusive.
We
have not ordered the dinner set, but order a la carte (4 dishes, 2
champagnes and 2 desserts; the bill is $2,840 (average per head $1,420).
Originally we would like to try Bloody Duck (Canard au sang, Pressed
Duck, 血鴨) which is not available tonight (we know bloody duck is not
available beforehand), we resort to order duck liver, roasted duck
breast, snails, and lobster (Sorry, no lobster photo is attached. It is
the tastiest dish in the meal. The meat is fresh and tender, to an
extent that we can still taste the flavor of seawater. It is a heavenly
dish .). Food display is alluring, in fact, this is within expectation.
There are also wide selections of champagne and wine, we order champagne
only.
Undoubtedly, service, environment and food materials are
impeccable. It is deserved to win the award of "Best Hotel Restaurant".
In view of taste, we can only say we have not yet attained the level to
enjoy French cuisine and there are still a lot to learn in our
gastronomic journey . Anyway, we would visit Petrus again, not for
dinner, but for lunch.
