'Steamed Eggplant with
Garlic Paste' is unexpectedly delicious, in a sense that eggplant is
young and tender (the buyer quality is very important). Soya sauce,
garlic paste and eggplant are perfect match.
Mixed Vegetables in Pot
Signature Steamed Chicken. Chicken is fresh (not chilled or frozen); meat is bouncy, juicy and rich in chicken flavor.
Clay
Pot Rice - Preserved Liver Sausage and Chicken. It takes about 15 to 20
minutes before each clay pot of rice is served. On the bottom, there is
crispy rice (warbar). The soya sauce is specially prepared. It further
enhances the overall quality of each clay pot rice.

Temperature
is getting lower (but it is still hot), we would like to have a try of
delicious rice in clay pot in Kwan Kee. In the evening, there are
already diners to queue up no matter whether they have made reservation
or not. We are allotted to a table in the open area. It is acceptable to
dine outdoors, as the temperature is mind and comfortable.
We
know we must place order as soon as possible, for fear that we need to
wait for a long time before our dishes are served. We order rice in clay
pot for each person and 3 dishes, the bill is $360 (average per head
$90). A pity is that fried oysters are not served tonight. Instead, we
accept a recommendation of steamed chicken by the waitress. As usual,
dining experience in Kwan Kee is always within our expectation. It is
not easy to experience dishes of poor quality. In fact, we all are
delighted to have a try in Kwan Kee, particularly for the signature rice
in clay pot.
