Ham Rolls Cottage Cheese is the appetizer.

Cheese is mixed with herbs and onion. This stuffed cheese is a bit too much to us.

Salad. Red pepper, green bean, beetroot, onion, carrot are mixed with
mint sauce and vinegar. It is a refreshing salad and the taste has not
been localised. The taste is not commonly available in Hong Kong.

This is a complimentary salad that we have not ordered. Ham, green
cucumber, carrot ... are mixed with egg mayonnaise and topped with
salmon roe. The taste is closer to our preference.

Grilled Rainbow Trout w/ Vegetables. Whole Rainbow Trout is served. Grilled vegetables are yummy too.

Rainbow
Trout is a species of salmon. The meat is juicy, not dry and salty.
Minimum amount of seasonings has been added, we can try the original
flavor of trout. It should be cooked slowly in order that water inside
meat can still be conserved .

Shashlyk - Pork Skewer. There are two skewers. A metal stick has been
taken away from the skewer before we take this photo. It is quite large
in portion. Shashlyk means 'grilled by charcoal'.

This pork skewer is particularly delectable, which we have not
expected beforehand. The pork is fresh and juicy though it is in the
shape of a large rock. No meat tenderizer has been added.

Chocolate cake is homemade, not too sweet, spongy, alluring, with nice
chocolate flavor and most importantly delicious. It is not expected
Russian chef can also prepare cake of superior quality.

Dining hall is nicely decorated. Tables are not packed. Lighting is a bit dimmer than what you see in the photo.

Its outlook is surely different from other restaurants in Hong Kong.

Shi
Da Casda is a newly opened Russian restaurant in Tsimshatsui. The boss
and the chef are both Russian and have selected Hong Kong to start a
Russian restaurant. In addition to bar area, dining hall is quite roomy.
It is surely not so packed as those
local restaurants. It has Russian interior modern decoration, and does
not like other Russian restaurants with palatial interior. Since it is
in operation in the first month, there are not many diners. If it is
full house later, we guess the environment would also be noisy.
Breakfast,
lunch and dinner are served everyday. There are a la carte and meal
sets. Pricing is not high and it should be priced in the medium level.
Dinner sets are between the price of $100 and $250. In view of food
quality and the fact that it is newly operated, pricing is very reasonable. Once it
has established its reputation, it would surely increase the price
substantially. This is our impression that it would increase its food
price by 30% to 50% sooner or later.
We
order a meal set and a la carte main course. Food portion is not small,
it is not suggested to order a meal set for each diner. We are
impressed that food taste has not been localized. Food materials are
fresh and of good quality .
The chef should have devoted time in food preparation and cooking,
resulting that each dish is delectable and we are contented to have a
try of Russian cuisine at Kowloon side this time. For the sake of
enjoying authentic Russian food, for fear that there is any change in food standard and before it is crowded, you are highly
recommended to dine in Shi Da Casda at your earliest convenience.
