'Sweet Corn Thick Soup w/ Crab Meat' is a very palatable item. Corn is
succulent and crab meat fresh enough. There is also a balance of taste.
There are only 10 pieces of 'Smoked Duck Breast'. Smoked taste is nice
and the duck breast is very fresh. It is surely not from chilled duck.
This is definitely the best smoked duck breast in my memory. It is
cooked to perfection.
'Fried
Chicken w/ Onion and Preserved Black Bean & Garlic Sauce' is a
simple dish only for most chefs. It does not mean that it is easy to
cook. It is very attractive in reddish brown colour. Chicken meat is
tender and bouncy, and is rich in the tasty sauce.
Needless
to say, this 'Steamed Spareribs w/ Preserved Plum & Salted Fish' is
an item better to eat with rice. Salted fish is good in quality and
spareribs tender enough. A pity is that after a while we sense that very
small amount of meat tenderizer should have been added to the pork, if any.
'Fried Rice w/ Garoupa' is served in a presentable manner. This does
not mean that the portion is very large. It in fact can be allotted to 6
small bowls. Overall taste is good, but the rice is a bit oily.
'Papaya Sweet Soup w/ Almond & White Fungus' is free and not too sweet. They also have devoted in preparing dessert.

We
always want to visit Ming Court again and create a chance to try again
tonight. We order soup, 3 dishes, rice and dessert; and are delighted
dishes can still be maintained at high quality, no matter whether it is
soup, rice or dessert .
We
like the smoked duck breast most, it is in a very outstanding quality
that cannot be enjoyed in other restaurants, no matter whether they are
western or Chinese. The dish is very presentable. It also has a very
juicy texture and with a nice smoked flavor. To repeat again, we like it very much.
Other
items are also in high quality. No msg has been added. But we have
tasted that small amount (yes, small amount) of meat tenderizer has been
added to 'steamed spare-rib'. We understand that good quality spare-rib
is not easy to buy. But we still prefer to eat the raw spare-rib without meat tenderizer.
Food quality in Ming Court can still be kept at high level. In my
opinion, it should have Two Stars in Michelin Guide Hong Kong.
