Duck Breast in Honey and Grapefruit Sauce. Honey and grapefruit are
commonly used in cooking food, but there is no synergistic effect in
this dish. We have finished less than half plate only.
'Pan-fried
Egg w/ Salted Fish & Green Onion' is an above average dish. Dish
requesting simple cooking skill is to test the chef. In our experience,
the chef(s) in Yat Tung Heen tonight is (are) average only .
'Fried
Prawn w/ Long Jing Tea Leaves' is totally disappointed. Frozen prawns
are used and have been poured in water for a long time, in order to
increase the size and enhance the texture. We really do not expect
prawns of such quality are used. But we have not expected this will be a dish of large-sized
prawns. In my opinion, if the food material is expensive, they may
either increase the price or simply delete this item from the menu.
'Soup of Vegtable and Beancurd Sheet' is a dish with hotel quality. It is a delicious item.
Free desserts are nicely displayed, but quality is at most average.

We
have to dine in Jordan tonight and select Yat Tung Heen (YTH). We
really forget whether we have dined here before. After a table is
allotted to us, we notice that YTH in fact belongs to the Langham Group.
YTH is Chinese restaurant of hotel grade, in view of restaurant layout, service and dishes.
We
order 4 dishes, which do not require too complicated cooking skill.
During the whole meal, we do not have any surprise, but disappointment.
Average spending is not low, it is not equitable to diners to be served
with foods of such quality. I am afraid I would not take risk again. Maybe, dim sum during lunchtime is different and better.
