Sun Wai Wo is one of the four food stores / restaurants on the island. It must be crowded during holidays.
Left:
Salted Lemon Tea, Right: Iceless Cold Milk Tea (it is claimed to be the
signature item in the restaurant). Drinks are of above average quality.
'Noodle
with Fresh Squid in Soup' is a failed item. The soup is rich in msg and
noodle is under-cooked. But to be frank and equitable, the squid is
very fresh and bouncy.
'Instant Noodle with Fried Egg & Sea
Urchin'. There is no trace of fishiness for the fried egg with sea
urchin, this should be appreciated. The noodle is over-cooked (not
under-cooked ). The soup is the same, i.e. abundantly rich in msg.

Basically,
we are not too hungry. But we notice quite a lot of diners are inside
the store and some are still waiting outside. We do have the curiosity
of trying its food. Waiting for about 30 minutes, the noodles are served
to us.
Though squid is fresh and sea-urchin has no trace of
fishiness, the noodles and soup are not qualified. Because there are too
many orders, food cooking cannot be maintained at a minimum acceptable
level (mainly for the noodles we order). Noodles are either over-cooked
or under-cooked. The soup is abundantly rich in msg. Drinks are quite ok
as there is no need to process and they have been prepared in advance.
What they need to do is to take them out from the refrigerator.
For
an outing to an outlying island, it comes to a complete end with a
meal, though it is not a high quality one. Besides, Tap Mun is an island
fantastic for one-day trip.
