Chili sauces
This is the head table of the store. In hot summer, we order iced drinks, namely Five Flower Tea and Green Bean Ice.
The Store operates during holidays only, there are not many selections
in the menu. Two bowls of rice vermicelli are ordered, served with
vegetable, sliced fish meat and sliced red sausage.
Sliced fish meat has been slightly pan-fried. The portion is quite
generous. Besides rice vermicelli, there is of course instant noodle.
We
in fact do not know where Holiday Store locates. But Tung Lung Island
is not too big, it is quite easy to find. Before arriving at Holiday
Store, there is a South Garden Store, which is in blue and white
colours, like a store in the Aegean Sea of the Mediterranean.
The Store has been operating by Mr. & Mrs. Lee about twenty years ago.
1. This decoration is quite unique in Hong Kong.

1, 2, 3 and 4 can be connected together (from right to left) to form a
panorama photo of Holiday Store. The store occupies a large area and can
accommodate about forty visitors at the same time. Cold drinks and
noodles are served .

There
are several stores on Tung Lung Island, serving drinks and noodles.
Normally visitors would select Holiday Store, not because it is close to
the pier (in fact, it is not so), but because it is nearly at the end
of a trail to the Lighthouse. It is conveniently located to take a rest and
recharge. Even though another South Garden Store is decorated in white
and blue colours, visitors would still select to stay in Holiday Store.
We
do not expect there are too many selections in the menu, we order rice
vermicelli and drinks for the lunch. Maybe today is quite hot and there
are not many hikers. There are also a group of ten visitors from Taiwan.
Frankly speaking, the noodles
are much higher in quality than some served in the urban area. There is
no trace of fishiness and the portion is generous. In view of the price
at twenty dollars, we really do not have any complaint but appreciation
only. We will visit Tung Lung Island again in winter.
