Vegetarian Stuffs in Claypot is a healthy and delicious dish,
notwithstanding it is not presented in the best way. All food materials
are from good quality portions. The taste is well-balanced and
impressive.
Cha
Siu (BBQ Pork) is one of the signature items in West Villa Restaurant.
It is nicely presented and each piece of cha siu is of thickness more
than one centimeter. Yellowish orange fluid is the honey sauce. Later I
would inform you how tasty it is.
'Goose Web Noodle' is a dish of large portion. Goose web and sliced
mushroom have been brasied beforehand and are nearly cooked to
perfection. Noodle is still al dente. It is much better than we expect.
After
we finish all dishes we order, we still are not willing to finish cha
siu, mainly because the pork is not juicy and the sauce is not tasty
enough. It does not deserve to be the signature cha siu and to be priced
in such level . It is a failure. You are recommended not to order cha siu in West Villa Sheung Wan.

Remarks: booking is a must.
West Villa should be a quality restaurant group in Hong Kong in our
mind. We arrange to have a try in Sheung Wan today. Booking has been
made beforehand and a table for four persons is allotted to us.
Since
there is no dim sum in lunchtime, we inevitably order three dishes,
namely vegetarian stuffs, noodle and cha siu. The location is just next
to Central, it is of course priced at Central level. To our dismay
dishes are not correspondingly of high quality. Cha siu is particularly poor in quality, cold and not
delicious. It definitely does not serve the price in menu and to be one
of the signature dishes. Overall speaking, we can only give a 3/5 rating
to food.
