Baked
Fish Intestines w/ Egg is an item we do not have much expectation in
advance, but it turns out to be a high quality item, in the sense that
it does not have any trace of fishiness, egg has not been overcooked and
it is not oily (Imho, the whole claypot has not been deep-fried in oil).
Steamed Fish w/ Blackbean Paste is still good in taste and freshness.
Fried Spareribs w/ Black Vinegar should be one of the signature
dishes. It is freshly prepared and there is a nice flavour of black
vinegar. The most impressive point to us is that no meat tenderizer has
been added. We appreciate this very much.
Signature Chicken does not deserve to be the one of the signature
items. Taste is quite good, mainly because of the specially made soy
sauce. Though it is claimed to be chilled chicken, I guess it should be
frozen. Meat texture is much disappointing.
Vegetable in Soup w/ Salted Egg & Thousand Years Egg
Claypot Rice w/ Frog is not outstanding this time, mainly because frog
has been ordered wrongly and it is a bit overcooked. There is warbar at
the bottom.

This
is the second time we visit Sheung Hei. We would like to try more
dishes and have more diners to participate this time. We order many
dishes and claypot rice. To our dismay, the so-called signature chicken
and claypot rice are very disappointing and a bit disappointing respectively, we should in fact insist not to
order the chicken in the very beginning. For other dishes, they can
still be cooked to a high level.
An
aunt server is poor in manner. If she is also in such manner to other
patrons, I am afraid this must have a negative word of mouth to the
restaurant. Anyhow,we would continue to patron in future. There should
be more to explore in Sheung Hei.
