Pork chop is one of the two signature items in Song Song. It is
marinated with ginger sauce. No meat tenderizer has been added, for
sure. The texture is natural. If it is a bit less salty, it would be
flawless.
This
is the portion of half bird. Drunken chicken is the other signaure
item. Though it is not a fresh chicken, because of the cooking skill,
chicken meat is not tough but rich in wine flavour. In my opinion, both
signature items must be ordered.

No plain rice is served in Song Song. Rice Vermicelli and noodle in soup are available.

We
are informed to try in this noodle shop in Yuen Long. Famous items are
not noodle, but drunken chicken and pork chop. We patronize on Saturday,
we need to queue up for about twenty minutes. This is a typical local
eatery, it is definitely packed. Please do not expect to have comfy and courteous ambience. Of course, their manner would not be rude.
We
of course order drunken chicken, pork chop, vegetable, noodle and rice
vermicelli. Since normally all patrons would order similar food
combinations, or to be concise, most patrons would order drunken chicken
and pork chop, it does not take long time for us to wait for the preparation. The chefs in fact are cooking these items
all the time. Sometimes, for some patrons, waiting time and food eating
time are more or less similar.
We
appreciate chicken and pork chop deserve to be the signature items.
Chicken of course is not fresh but it is authentic in taste. No msg has
been added to pork chop. This is evidenced by the natural flavour and
texture. Pork chop has been marinated by
ginger juice, this further enhances the taste. This is also one of the
best ways to cook and prepare pork chop, in my mind. But if the pork
chop is a bit less salty, it would be nearly flawless. Song Song Noodle
should be one of the best eateries in Yuen Long, in view of price and food
taste. They should have put much effort in the preparation and business
running.
