Swiss Sauce Chicken wings 瑞士雞翼 (4 pieces) is of average
quality. Its chicken wings should be frozen one, which would greatly
decrease its quality. This is understandable at such price. For this
item, Tai Ping Koon is doing better, as fresh chicken wings are used. My
Japanese clinent likes the chicken wings in Tai Ping Koon very much. 6
pcs of chicken wings in Tai Ping Koon is priced at more than $100.
"Baked Vegetables (Cauliflower & Broccoli) in Cheese" is very big in size and cannot be finished by 2 persons.
Front:
Baked Portuguese Style Chicken 焗葡國雞 is made from fresh chicken. This
おいしい item is to be finished first, including the sauce, onion and
potato.
Back: "Fried Hofan (Rice Noodle) in Swiss Sauce" is not attractive in appearance, and is of average quality.
Ox tail soup 牛尾湯 is very good in taste
and has strong flavor of beef. It is suggested to try.
Baked Soufflé 梳乎厘 is value for money.
At
least, it is very much better than the same item in Sammy’s Kitchen. In
Sammy’s Kitchen, it is priced at $50, but the quality is horrible.

Strictly
speaking, the signature dishes (Chicken Wings in Swiss Sauce and Baked
Soufflé) of Amy’s are originated from Tai Ping Koon Restaurant
http://www.taipingkoon.com/). The reason why we do not dine in Tai Ping
Koon on the same street is because of its poor service (the waiters are
mainly uncle-typed guys) and higher price for the same foods. Service in
Amy’s Kitchen is much better.
We have 3 persons and ordered a
dinner set for 2 at $158 and a Baked Portuguese Style Chicken $70.
Average per head is $85. The dinner set for 2 is always value-for-money
item, while Baked Portuguese Style Chicken is very delicious and we want
to try again. Baked Portuguese Style Chicken can still keep its
standard. But for the signature dinner set, it seems that the quality is
on the decrease. If we dine here next time, we must not order this
dinner set though the price is attractive and its portion should be
enough for 3 girls. It is because the chicken wings are not so fresh as
before and the fried hofan (rice noodle) gets a pass only. We would
order other items in the menu.
We understand to keep the food
quality at high level is not easy. If Amy’s Kitchen does not improve, we
would visit less frequently.
