'Steamed
Chicken in Broth' is priced at less than $100 (for half bird only). It
is quite good in appearance. Though it is chilled, the meat texture is
not bad.

'Fried Spinach w/ Preserved Meat and Preserved Sausage'
is quite large in portion. There is a well-balance in taste. It is a
palatable dish, particularly when the temperature is at 15 degree
celsius or below.

'Braised Egg-plant w/ Eggwhite and Minced Pork'
is served in a long plate. It is very outstanding; egg-plant, eggwhite
and pork are perfect match under the chef's sophisticated cooking skill.
It is highly recommended.

'Fried Grouper and Broccoli' is quite
tasty. Broccoli and grouper meat are of no problem. A pity is that fish
meat has a smell of fishiness. If so, it is a fail.

'Clay Pot
Rice w/ Taro and Sparerib' is served at $50 per head. But the portion is
not small. Rice quality can only get a recommended pass. It is not like
the Chinese restaurant in other hotel(s), which can prepare clay pot
rice of impeccable quality.

Chinese Restaurant (KC) is restaurant we would like to have a try for
quite a long time. Tonight, there are not too many diners, it should be
about 40% full only. There are sufficient servers in dinnertime. It is
not like other chained Chinese restaurants, with only 3 waitresses to
serve 90 diners; it is too ridiculous. In hotel restaurant, service is
normally and always better.
We order 4 dishes and clay pot rice,
average spending per head is $175. Frankly, we do have expectation
beforehand. We understand we have not ordered those signature dishes,
like ‘roasted pig stuffed with glutinous rice’, we should at most expect
the food quality to be average. This is also the overall comment on all
dishes and the clay pot rice. The braised egg-plant is fresh and quite
tasty, it is recommended to order. A bad experience is that the grouper
meat is not fresh enough, there is trace of fishiness. This is the
reason why we can only give 3.5/5 to KC. For Chinese restaurant in
hotel, the rating should normally be 4/5 or above. Maybe, if we order
the signature dishes next time, the result would be much better.
