'Tuna w/ Sauce Rice Set'. Twelve pieces of tuna slices are
on top of artificial crab meat and Japanese sushi rice. Though otoro or
toro tuna is not served, this akami with sauce is in fact very tasty,
so is artificial crab meat (though i do not like artificial crab meat).
Food portion is a bit below average, please note.
This is the
'Yokukawa Meal Set' and should be the signature meal set. Sushi rice is
topped with salmon sashimi, cuttlefish sashimi and roe with sauce.
Sashimi pieces are fresh enough. We are pleased to have such bowl of
Japanese sashim rice in the afternoon.

Yokukawa
is an authentic Japanese restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui east. The first
impression is that it is a small restaurant with Japanese decoration. In
fact, it also has several rooms for group dining. In lunchtime, the
restaurant is nearly full. The restaurant is not too noisy, maybe
because of its quality diners (of course, including us). Waitresses are
courteous and attentive, they are very busy to entertaining different
diners.
There are about 15 meal sets for selection, ranging from
price of $55 to $150. We order two sashimi meal sets, average spending
is about $75. Each set includes a bowl of sashimi rice, pickles, miso
soup, vegetable and dessert. Tea or coffee is not available. Basically,
the portion is not large. It should be very suitable to OL. But for
those macho guys, it should not be sufficient.
Though food
portion is a bit small, its food quality has not yet been sacrificed.
Overall taste is good. We can still enjoy Japanese feel and flavor at
such reasonable price, which is also cheaper than the average spending
in Causeway Bay . They serve Japanese rice as well, this is very
heartening. You are recommended to have a try if time allows.
